Your Requests…

We, artists and designers, usually follow our hearts. My two blogs, TAAM & Tantu, are also driven by my heart. But, TAAM is a little more of my heart and Tantu is a little more of my brain. TAAM is purely an expression of my ideas and thoughts as a dreamer-cum-artist.

My passion for designing made me think of Tantu. Tantu was started aiming to serve the fashion enthusiasts. I was unsure of who Tantu’s readers are, what they expect and how to reach them. All I knew that I need to understand heart of Tantu’s imaginary reader. Hence, Tantu set off with a little more of my brain.

Your Requests for DIY Tutorials

My first post, magic blouse, was on making a fashionable blouse. Tantu received its first request about princess-lines on the same day from Ms. Priya Kamath. Later on, Tantu has been receiving requests on a variety of topics. Each time I receive a request, I feel the trust you have on me. Oh! I overwhelm with inexpressible happiness, when I find thanks notes in the form of comments and e-mails for the DIY tutorials in Tantu. Did I tell you that ‘making a basic pattern for sari blouse’ is the most popular post on Tantu that is viewed by hundreds of people daily?

You know, I had been on a long vacation in the month of April and it was when many of the readers placed a number of requests. These requests were scattered in e-mails and comments. So, I had to rearrange the requests folder of Tantu. I checked all the 45 posts of Tantu in past two weeks. I had triple-checked each for unanswered comment and un-noted request. Finally, I succeeded re-organising Tantu’s requests folder last week.

This re-organising process made me think of starting some Series posts. These series posts would include howto and tutorial posts. A series would be started by a day or two. I know, you are eager to know the details. Action speaks more than words, isn’t it? So keep watching…

Your DIY tutorial requests

Take care!

Bye until the next post!
